How the airport pickup works
Enter your flight number when you book and we follow the aircraft — early or late, the pickup moves with it at no extra cost. Your driver meets you inside the terminal once you have your luggage, and you pay in the car by card or cash. Then it is a direct run to Stockholm Cruise Terminal.
The route from Arlanda to Stockholm Cruise Terminal
E4 south then east to Frihamnen, or over Centralbron and along Stadsgårdsleden for the quays under Södermalm — the two are on opposite sides of the water, so the quay decides the route.
The journey covers roughly 45 km and takes about 45 minutes in normal traffic. We check live traffic before setting off, so the arrival time you are given already accounts for the road at that hour.
Getting to Stockholm Cruise Terminal without a car
None of the three quays has a rail connection. Whatever else you do, the last leg is a bus or a car, which is why cruise lines tell passengers to arrange a transfer rather than a train.
About Stockholm Cruise Terminal
Stockholm handles cruise calls at three quays: Frihamnen for the largest ships, Stadsgården below Södermalm, and Skeppsbron beside the Old Town. Embarkation windows are strict and the terminals are not on a direct train line, so a pre-booked car with a fixed price and a driver who knows which quay your ship is on removes the one risk you cannot recover from — missing the sailing.
Stockholm uses Frihamnen for the largest ships, Stadsgården below Södermalm for mid-size calls, and Skeppsbron beside the Old Town for the smallest. Ships also occasionally berth at Nynäshamn, an hour further south. Give the ship name or the quay in your booking and the driver takes you to the right gangway, not the right postcode.
