How the airport pickup works
Enter your flight number when you book and we follow the aircraft — early or late, the pickup moves with it at no extra cost. Your driver meets you inside the terminal once you have your luggage, and you pay in the car by card or cash. Then it is a direct run to Stockholm City Centre.
The route from Arlanda to Stockholm City Centre
South down the E4 the whole way, exiting at Norrtull into Sveavägen or Klarastrandsleden depending on which side of the centre you are staying.
The journey covers roughly 42 km and takes about 40 minutes in normal traffic. We check live traffic before setting off, so the arrival time you are given already accounts for the road at that hour.
Getting to Stockholm City Centre without a car
Arlanda Express is genuinely quick to Stockholm Central, and if your hotel is on Vasagatan it is hard to beat. The moment your address is a few blocks further — Norrmalmstorg, upper Drottninggatan, anywhere with a suitcase and a hill — you are adding a taxi or a metro leg to the end of it anyway, at which point the direct car costs less than the two tickets and lands you at the door.
About Stockholm City Centre
Central Stockholm spreads across Norrmalm and the water around it: department stores on Drottninggatan and Hamngatan, the concert hall at Hötorget, and the hotel cluster between Vasagatan and Central Station. Most arriving visitors are heading somewhere inside this square kilometre, and a door-to-door car is the difference between one journey and a train plus a connection with your luggage.
The one-way system around Klarabergsgatan and the Vasagatan bus lanes make the last two hundred metres slower than the forty kilometres before it, so we set off with that already in the estimate.

Can you drop me at a hotel entrance in the city centre?
Yes. We drive to the entrance itself, including the Vasagatan and Klarabergsgatan hotels where the bus lanes make stopping awkward. Give the hotel name in the booking and the driver will know which side of the building to pull in.
