How the airport pickup works
Enter your flight number when you book and we follow the aircraft — early or late, the pickup moves with it at no extra cost. Your driver meets you inside the terminal once you have your luggage, and you pay in the car by card or cash. Then it is a direct run to Södermalm.
The route from Arlanda to Södermalm
E4 south, then Centralbron and over to the island — either Slussen for the north end or Hornsgatan for anything west of Mariatorget.
The journey covers roughly 45 km and takes about 45 minutes in normal traffic. We check live traffic before setting off, so the arrival time you are given already accounts for the road at that hour.
Getting to Södermalm without a car
Arlanda Express to Central, then the red or green line south, then a walk that is very often uphill. Södermalm is built on a ridge and its addresses are spread across it, so the last leg is the one people underestimate.
About Södermalm
Södermalm is the city's largest island district and its most walked-in one: independent shops around SoFo, restaurants at Nytorget and Mariatorget, and the cliff-top views over the water from Monteliusvägen and Fjällgatan. The hills are steep and the addresses are spread out, which is exactly when being driven to the door beats a train and a walk.
Getting onto the island is easy; getting to a specific door is not. Streets like Bastugatan and Blecktornsgränd climb steeply from the water, and Götgatan is partly pedestrian at the top, so we pick the approach that avoids carrying anything up a hill.
